Meditation nourishes the mind in the same way that food nourishes the body

There are so many factors and aspects to making sure we eat a healthy diet, ensure we get the right amount of nutrients, avoid over indulging and even sometimes fast.

I have always gone with the principle of ‘everything’ in moderation. Sounds boring I know but only if you are following it slavishly.

We know some, more extreme, diets can be very very boring. Life is supposed to be savoured for it’s richness.

Often it can be found in the simplest of moments. So while I sit on the patio looking out over my back garden this evening. I am taking in the birdsong. Watching my cat sunbathing and taking full advantage of these long summer evenings. The. Gentle breeze playing with my citronella candle. Fresh air in my lungs. How my body feels now I have taken a moment to take stock and more importantly stop!

When was the last time you took time to contemplate what nourishes and feeds your mind?
