Try savouring it without chewing.
Now this is mindfulness 101. Can you take your thought and senses and focus on one specific thing.
It sounds so easy. Can you truly focus.
With guidance it becomes easy. The shape, texture, taste, warm or cold, weight… there are many facets to explore with your thought.
Our minds are amazing and so powerful. Yet many of us fail to realise this. Let alone explore and play with the capabilities we have.
There is a bigger reward for you and I in taking time to be mindful. To concentrate. To focus.
We gain a rare moment of peace and harmony. Our bodies react too. We become calm. Pulses lower. We relax.
This has longer term benefits when we practise this kind of relaxation technique.
When the heat is really on in life we can detach. Take a step back. Assess what is happening and what is really important. Then bring our focus to what needs to be done. Or what does not need to be done.
So go find that piece of chocolate. It brings more than something to focus on… it tastes bloody lovely too!
